This Lawrence of Arabia movie was recreated from the biography of T.E. Lawrence. He was a Military lieutenant from the British Army who was stationed in North Africa during World War 1. The film becomes interesting when Lawrence is given an opportunity to go to Arabia and become an observer.

The actors in the movie are Peter O'Toole as T.E. Lawrence, Anthony Quinn as Auda Abu Tayi, Alec Guinness as Prince Feisal, and Jack Hawkins as General Allenby. The movie was directed by David Lean. Originally, Marlon Brando was considered for the lead role. This movie is 227 minutes long, and features no women in talking roles. All of the motions captured in the movie are from left to right because the director wanted to show that a journey was taking place. The movie was created from factual events. The actors who portrayed the real life people were near perfect resemblances. While filming the movie Peter O’ Toole became an expert camel rider, and became sick on the set on several occasions. O’Toole never watched the final edited version of the film until 20 years after its release and felt that it was great.

Their were also mistakes in the movie such as when Lawrence first comes ashore in the Suez Canal he is in a modern boat, the Bedouin customs were not portrayed in the film correctly, and in one seen in the bar in Cairo their is a visible modern vehicle in the background of the shot. When this film was shown, it was highly proclaimed as a great film and won seven Oscar awards, four golden globe awards, and two British Academy Awards.
