Earning Reserved
Points is a way you can bring up that low grade you earned on a homework
assignment or test, however you may not use Reserved Points towards a
zero credit assignment. |
 |
Reserved Points
ARE NOT extra
credit! They go into a low scored assignment. |
 |
Reserved Points are
designed to help you with an assignment you may feel you did poorly on
or not to the best of your ability. They are not meant to replace an
assignment YOU CHOSE to FAIL. |
 |
You are allowed to do any one of
the assignments below, as long as the assignment you choose is about the
THEME/SUBJECT we are currently studying in class.
|
 |
Any assignment
that is done incorrectly according to the directions on the
worksheet you choose will not be graded.
|
 |
In order to
receive the Reserved Points...you must
download the assignment,
print the
assignment and you must
complete the assignment
entirely!
|
 |
Each Reserved Point Assignment is worth 10 Points...you may do as many
as you need to raise your grade.
|
 |
YOU MAY
NOT USE ANY RESERVED POINTS TOWARDS THE RENAISSANCE GRID PROJECT!

Today’s present
is tomorrow’s past, so it is important to keep up with current events while we
are studying history. Students
will be expected to find an article by using the newspaper or the
Internet. Students are expected to find an article that deals with world
issues only, please, no local, state, or US news, unless it directly relates to
the world. Sports, weather, Obituaries, commentaries, and entertainment news are not
allowed and will receive an automatic zero.
You are allowed to turn in a total of 2 Current Event
assignments per Quarter to boost your grade. You must complete the
entire assignment per directions in order to receive full credit. Each
Current Event is worth a total of 10 Reserved Points (Reserved Points are NOT
considered Extra Credit), which means that you can earn up to 20 Reserved Points
towards your overall grade (...which can help you tremendously if you are
failing.) Once you finish a Current Event, turn it in to Mrs. Brost
immediately! Current Events are graded and entered within a couple of
days...sometimes they are graded and entered immediately, if time permits.
