Thomas Mifflin was the fourth president of the United States Of America. He started off as the city warden and moved on to being colonial legislature for four consecutive terms. Then in 1774, he was elected to the First Continental Congress. Also ,when on active duty, he was reelected to as state legislature. Then finally , in 1783, Mifflin was elected president. In 1790, he was elected as Pennsylvania's governor. Thomas Mifflin served in the army and as a political leader. All he did deserves recognition in the form of a statue. He cared enough about the country to fight and govern them and has yet to be honored for it. A statue could finally honor him and his works for our country.
