Our Great President

Elias Boudinot was born on May 2, 1740 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the real 4th President of America. Although his name is not well known, Elias Boudinot played a great part in the making of the Constitution. On November 4, 1782, the Continental Congress elected Boudinot to be the Chief Executive. His accomplishments helped greatly to American success.

Elias Boudinot not only took the job as president but also as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He had made negotiations with another country. It was a treaty of friendship with Sweden. Then the Swedish brought the news that the war with Great Britain had ended. Elias Boudinot had signed the Treaty of Paris to end the Revolutionary War with the colonies.
