Problems with the Government and Pork-Barrel Spending.

The government is an absolute waste of time and money. The Articles of Confederation have been failing us ever since they have been created. The government is weak and because of their unjust nature towards the Americas, we have not been living the dream that we have fought Britain for so diligently. For example, because the government doesn't tax the nation, and only ask the states for money, we do not get what needs to be done in this country done. Another weakness of the Articles of Confederation is the fact that we did not give the government the power to enlist people in the army and we did not give the government the power to hold a standing army. What happens if we come under attack? We will not have the power to protect ourselves and the nation that we have fought for seven years for will go down in flames after we lost so many lives. The government has given WAY to much power to the people. Freedom is good and all but what happens when to much freedom becomes a problem? Huh? Will the people finally let the government have the power to Govern* the people? Will they finally understand that if we our governed by one person, order will be always present? Do they understand that some people know not of ruling in the peoples honor? People need to understand that if we elect people from the congregation to rule, we will still have the rule of the PEOPLE. The Articles of Confederation are WEAK! The United States of America are now in debt because we didn't give enough power to the government in the first place.  The governments over seas are laughing at us and they are mocking us because of our weak central government and our lack of power over the people. The government has gone even farther and started pork-barrel spending. They have wasted all this money for monuments to themselves and they have spent all of our money not on ways to make the government better, but ways  to ensure that they themselves are remembered. They have been spending money that is not necessary to spend. The definition of pork-barrel spending is not specifically authorized by the government, it is not requested by the president, it exceeds the President's set budget for the year before, it is not the subject of Congressional meetings, it serves only local or special interests, it's not competitively awarded and it's just plain wrong. The government thinks that just because they are in charge, they have the right to do what they please with the taxpayers money, and we did not set up our government to be this way. They believe that they can boss us around, spend however much money on what they want instead of what's best for the people. They can take four billion dollars from our school funds and not do anything with it, and what's more, after they take the money, they don't even have the courtesy to put it back. The government has gone way to far with spending way too much money on themselves instead of spending the right amount of money to make this country better. The Articles of Confederation were weak and instead of bringing this country up, they brought down. They brought the government even farther down then we were when the British were ransacking our houses and taking our things. The government is TERRIBLE. They believed that we could win the war against the British and we did, they believed that we could have freedom and we do, they believed that we could have strong government that would fight for peoples rights and that would still have a little power. We HAVE NOT reached that point and we WILL NOT reach those goals the way that this country is being run at the moment. One of the main examples of Pork- Barrel spending is the fact that Senator Richard Shelby spent $11 million dollars building a "hospital" at a school that he just "happened" to go to ,and it also just "happens" that the building has his name on it. What is that? He can spend $11 million dollars on was is basically himself yet he cannot give the same amount of money to a poorer school, where helping might boost the education levels as well as the economy at the same time? NO! That is NOT what our government was built for, and that is NOT what how The United States of America our suppose to be run.
