     Nathaniel Gorman was born on May 27, 1738 in Charlestown, Massachusetts He had a good education, and had weird talents. He was like an oddball in the class. He was fearless of freedom and would do anything for it.

     In 1771 and the year after that until the Revolutionary War was elected representative for Charlestown. He was elected a deglate of the convention which made a constitution of his state in 1779. He was chosen to be a member of the congress of the United States in 1784. Mr. Gorman was a member of the grand convention which made a central constitution in 1787.

    He died in Charlestown, Massachusetts on June 11, 1796 at the age of fifty-six. He was buried in Philip’s street cemetery in Charlestown, Massachusetts. He is remembered today to be the most influential member of the State Convention which then adopted the constitution.
