Arthur St. Clair was the greatest person; he was fun yet still responsible. People loved him so much and I think we should show our love for him too. He was a great leader and people knew that that’s why he was made a lieutenant of his army. The person who loved him the most though was his wife, Phoebe Bayard, they were married in May of 1760 at the Trinity Episcopal Church. Ten years later he was honored by becoming surveyor of the district of Cumberland. He filled his job by helping people by listening to what they have to say. Four years later he was favored by like everybody so he became magistrate of Westmoreland County. He was just so awesome. So he got orders on the 10th of January 1776, to go and make a bunch of guys into awesome soldiers and that is just what he did, he didn’t care if it was the dead of winter. He got those boys ready to fight. He was just so awesome. That is why I think that we should honor him so greatly with this monument.
