Description of March Valley School

March Valley School is an alternative school designed for students (14-18 years) who are academically challenged, credit deficient, or may have attendance problems.  The following programs are offered at March Valley:  Core 1 (9th and 10th grades), Core 2, 11th and 12th grades) and Independent Studies (9-12 grades).  All Core 1 and 2 students take a minimum of six classes per semester.  Their school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m.  Students attend three classes on “A” day and three different classes on “B” day.  Each class is 90 minutes long.  Students also have the opportunity of earning additional credits through ROP, Work Experience, Classes at RCC, Adult Education, and Independent Studies.

March Valley School provides supportive and nurturing instruction that empowers students to be socially responsible individuals and career-oriented learners both academically and technologically. Students are encouraged by a dedicated staff to acknowledge the rights, responsibilities, and respect of self and others.

All students of March Valley School will be provided with supportive and nurturing instruction to empower students to become socially responsible individuals focused on academic, technological, and career-oriented life long learning. Students will be encouraged by a dedicated staff to acknowledge the rights, responsibilities, and respect of self and others. Our students will become active participants of their ever-changing, diverse, and complex society.
