California Standard Testing -
4/30/2012 - 5/11/2012
It’s that time of year again! Our
STAR testing will take place April 30th – May 11th. It is important
that your child attend school every day during the testing period.
Testing will take place in the morning so please schedule any doctor
or dentist appointments during afternoon hours. Be sure to mark your
calendars and plan ahead accordingly.
Students who are tardy during this
time will not be permitted to go to their classrooms once testing
has begun. Instead they will have to wait in the library until
testing has ended and make up the test on another day/time. It is
important that your child be well rested, has a good breakfast, and
is on time so they can do their best on this important state
mandated test.
Students who arrive on time and
attend school every day during the testing window will be invited to
attend a special school event at the end of the school year.
In order to help
prepare your child for the upcoming state testing, there are
practice test questions released at the websites linked below. Both
Language Arts and Math sample questions are available that parents
can print off and have students practice at home. Please help us
help your children to be set up for success!

Tardies
Please make a concerted effort to
have your children to school on time every day. We are
experiencing a large number of tardy students on a daily basis.
That means, for every tardy student, the instructional time for other
students and their teacher is interrupted. Our school begins
at 8:05 a.m. It is expected that students be here at the start
time. Thank you for your help in this.
