Dear Parents/Guardians of La Jolla Students:
We are delighted to welcome you to La Jolla Elementary School, the newest school in the Moreno Valley Unified School District. Attending your brand new school on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 is an experience you and your child will always remember and treasure. It is the first step of a joyous and never- ending adventure into a world filled with excitement and interesting things to do and learn. Now you and La Jolla are partners jointly dedicated to helping your elementary child grow into a healthy, happy, and fully aware person.
You are encouraged to attend a PTA meetings and join for $7. Come and get involved, support your new school by joining the PTA, and offer your suggestions as to the type of school that you would like your children to attend.
La Jolla will be on a modified traditional calendar (August—June) and a “walking-distance” school with limited transportation services. Additionally, information concerning kindergarten orientation and choice of AM/PM classes will be sent out in August to our families with kindergarten students.
