CHINA MAPPING ASSIGNMENT

 

Follow these steps in this order to create a map of the country of China showing these features:

 

1.  On your blank map of China, label in ink:

MONGOLIA, & it’s capital (use a * (star) symbol for this city)

CHINA, & it’s capital (use a * (star) symbol for this city)

TAIWAN, & it’s capital (use a * (star) symbol for this city)

10 cities in CHINA of your choice  (use a ●(dot) to represent each city)

 

2.  Label the following in ink:

            Pacific Ocean

South China Sea, East China Sea, AND Yellow Sea

            Bay of Bengal

            Chang Jiang River  AND Huang He River (trace your rivers with a blue

                                                                      colored pencil or a THIN blue marker.)

            Gobi Desert

            Plateau of Tibet  AND  Plateau of Mongolia

Mount Everest (you need to mark this with a symbol – See direction #9

                                             for symbol)

             

3.  Color the Gobi Desert LIGHT ORANGE.

 

4.  Color the plateaus LIGHT BROWN.

 

5.  Color China LIGHT GREEN.

 

6.  Color Mongolia PINK.

 

7.  Color Taiwan LIGHT PURPLE.

 

9.  Create a key for your map in ink.

Use a ● (dot) to represent each city

Use a * (star) symbol for this city)

Mountains - ∆∆∆ (use a dark brown colored pencil or THIN marker to do

                              this.)

Desert – Light Orange

Plateaus – Light Brown

China – Light Green

Mongolia – Pink

Taiwan – Light Purple

Oceans/Seas – Blue
