Elias Boudinot was part of the Article of Confederation since he was the
president. The Articles of Confederation were laws that we had to follow and we
still do follow these rules. The Articles of Confederation had all started in
1781.
Our 4th president of the thirteen colonies was all about the Articles of
Confederation. He respected them and followed and abided by them. The Articles
of Confederation had many laws and here are some of them:
Article I.
The Stile of this confederacy shall be "The United States of America."
Article II.
Each state retains its sovereignty, freedom, and independence, and every
Power, Jurisdiction and right, which is not by this confederation expressly
delegated to the United States, in Congress assembled.
Article III.
The said states hereby severally enter into a firm league of friendship with
each other, for their common defense, the security of their Liberties, and
their mutual and general welfare, binding themselves to assist each other,
against all force offered to, or attacks made upon them, or any of them, on
account of religion, sovereignty, trade, or any other pretence whatever. Now
that was only three of them there is still seven more. These Articles of
Confederation were for all of the thirteen colonies. All of the colonies had
to follow these laws. In one of these articles it talks about what all the
colonies wanted which was FREEDOM! It talks about the freedom of speech, the
freedom of religion and the things that the colonist wanted to hear.
The 4th president Elias Boudinot was part of creation of the Articles of
Conderation.
