The Articles of Confederation had a few weaknesses. One was the amount of power each state had. Because of this, people were being taxed very much. The nation did not have a leader to decide between arguments. So the congress had to make their own decisions. The congress drafted man to join the army. They also had only one person vote per state. The colonies did not have any way to defend themselves. Congress also had no control over the money, so they took currency from other states. The Articles did not protect the branches at all. This document had a weak foundation.
