  The Articles of Confederation

There were many problems with the Articles of Confederation. The hardest one was to get it started. First the congress made decision on there own instead of voting. This made many colonies get mad. The articles . Since they had no leader the Congress made decisions on their own. The congress had no power to gather moneyed owed  from the other colonies. They did not have the power to place taxes on the colonists.  The Articles of Confederation weaken the government instead of helping it.

The Monument

Arthur St. Clair was the ninth president in the Articles Confederation. He was one of the last presidents to serve under the Articles Confederation but he was definitely one of the best. He was the first land owner in Virginia, and plotted the strategy to capture Princeton. He formed two different states out of the Ohio territory. If we were to agree to make his monument, it would cost three hundred thousand dollars and would be placed in fabulous Washington D.C.
